Transnational Taxation Network

On Friday 2 June 2017 Michel attended the annual course for younger tax practitioners organized by TTN (Transnational Taxation Network – http://ttn-taxation.net/).

This year the course was held in London.

The topic of the course was “Tax Treaties in Corporate & International Tax Planning” and was presented by Mr. Allan Cinnamon (former head of the international tax department at BDO).

Tax treaties are a dynamic area of international tax.

The course considered pertinent cases, government actions and trends across the world that interpret and apply tax treaties to business operations.

This area of expertise is a key factor in international tax planning.

The course analyzed the relevant articles of the OECD Model Treaty in relation to the crucial role they play in international tax planning for companies expanding and operating abroad.
