The Capacity triangle, “We are Music” edition, organised by the European Composer & Songwriter Allliance took place on 25^th March 2019 in Brussels (Beursschouwburg). The event was hosted by Galm, supported by Playright and Sabam and co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. The speakers discussed the last updates with regard the upcoming new Copyright Directive and exchanged their views on how digitalization totally transformed the business model for all composers, artists and producers.

The panelists also gave the audience an update on how music licensing works and insight into the functioning of Belgian collection societies Sabam and Playright. Peter Marx (MVVP) participated as a panellist in the “Be your Own Entrepeneur” session, giving advice and personal insights to artists who are looking to start or grow their ow business. Peter also gave a presentation on the negotiation of publishing agreements.
